Sliders for dinner, with all the trimmings. It sounds so good. Too bad June is turning out to be a bummer of a month for outdoor BBQs. It has been more over cast then usually and even stormy. So weird! I wont let the weather spoil my wonderful dinner idea though. A mini burger bar. They all start with the same burger patty and bun but have different toppings. They were a hit. We had tons of leftover patties…So I made a Cheeseburger Pizza with them. The recipe is posted on the blog. That was a huge hit 3 days later when I had family over for dinner.

Basic Burger Patty
2 lbs ground beef, 85% lean
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Mix all the ingredients and form into medium size balls. Then flatten out the patties and grill them for about 4 minutes on each side.

Use small Hawaiian Rolls for the bun. Most stores are actually starting to carry small rolls that are perfect for sliders as well. So look for those if you can’t find the Hawaiian rolls.
