Christmas is the best time of year for baking. You can be so creative with recipe ingredients AND with decorating. For Christmas I HAD to make a festive cake pop. And I LOVE snowmen. I have the cutest snowmen sculptures that looks like ice cubes that light up. My mom got them for me an a boutique shop by their house a few years ago and I just love them. So when it came to choosing what kind of Christmas cake pops I would make, snowmen was an easy choice.
They look difficult because of the detail. But as long as you have the right writing icing colors, you are good to go. You need black and whatever color you want for the scarves. The hats were made by total accident. I randomly had gummy lifesavers and Christmas colored Dots in my baking cabinet. So I just used some of the melted chocolate to ‘glue’ them together. But shoot, what about the arms? I don’t have any sick pretzels. OHHHH, but I am staring straight at some whole wheat spaghetti. Perfect. So basically I just used whatever I had on my counters or in my cabinets. And to my amazment they turned out really cute, I was proud of them.

I had coffee with my friend Bonnie and her mom the day after Christmas and I brought them some. They tasted them, and LOVED them. Mom said, “These are like treats you see in a store and think ‘oh, those look cute but will probably taste gross b/c they have been sitting there for months.’ But they taste sooo good ” Which was such a compliment. So, these impress people and taste good.
