I’m like every other girl who walks into Target and spends WAY more then she needs to. I buy things I don’t need and don’t want. Like jelly beans. And not just 1 bag, but 2. What the heck am I going to do with 2 bags of jelly beans?

If you can infuse alcohol with bacon, why not with jelly beans. And you can put pretty much anything in a cookie, and as long as you call it a ‘cookie’ people will like it.

So there, that’s what the heck I’m going to do with the jelly beans.

Note to self, jelly bean rum isn’t kid friendly, even though it looks like Kool Aid. But the cookies are SUPER kid friendly.

Strawberry Jelly Bean infused Rum
1/2 cup jellybeans (use the same flavor to prevent weird flavor combos and weird coloring)
1 1/2 cups rum

Directions
To infuse the rum: Combine the white jellybeans and rum in an airtight container; set the container aside for at least 3 hours, then strain and refrigerate until ready to serve.

I mixed 1 part infused rum with 1 part lemonade and poured it over ice. Not too shabby, like an adult strawberry lemonade.

Jelly Bean Sugar Cookies
I used my basic sugar cookie recipe and just added 1 1/2 cups jelly beans.

Happy Easter!!!!
